words with operators. The advanced search has functionality to make this easy,

operators are:
AND Selects documents that contain all of the search elements you
specify.
Example: power AND former
OR Selects documents that contain any of the search elements
you specify.
Example: power OR former
NOT Excludes documents containing the words or phrases.
Example: power NOT former
The operators can be combined. Example: power OR former NOT electric
|
| Wildcard characters |
|
The words you enter into the search field can be made more flexible by using
wildcard characters. These are * and ?.
* Specifies zero or more characters.
? Specifies one character.
Example: A query with the word photo would return documents containing the word
photo or normal variations of the word like photos. A query with the word
photo* would also return documents containing the word photoelectric.

NAVIGATING THE RESULTS
|
|
The result list is presented under "RESULT - DOCUMENTS" on the right part of the
page. The first 10 matches are shown. To view other results, use the numbers or
"NEXT" links under the results.
Each time a new search criteria is entered, the result list is updated.
Navigate in the structure in the bottom left. Expand the categories to see
sub-categories by clicking on the "+" sign or on the category name. Collapse
categories by clicking on the "-" sign or on the category name. When expanding
or collapsing a category, all documents for that specific category will be
shown in the result frame on the right.
With filter options turned on, the number of documents in that category is
displayed after each category name. This number includes all sub-categories to
the displayed category.
